The town of Yellow Springs is a short 15 minute drive from Dayton, but it seems to be in a whole other world. There are hippies and other such free spirits running amok throughout the whole tiny town. There are tons of cute little shops in old houses selling many kinds of items, and predictably every single one smells like incense. My favorite store was a toy store that was so jam packed with aisles of toys you couldn't ever see more than 2 feet in front of you as you made your way through the labyrinth of shelves. We opted not to do the Tarot card readings, but did enjoy people watching quite a bit. Yellow Springs' main claim to fame is that the comedian/actor Dave Chappelle hails from there.
