The Unending Dessert

At the Cheesecake Factory in town, there is a certain dessert that Ryan has gotten the last two times we have been there. It is not really on the menu- it is a customized item that includes a monstrous piece of chocolate cake and several scoops of ice cream all drizzled in chocolate syrup. (He does not like cheesecake. I know, I think it's crazy too.)

Ryan tried to finish it last time and made a good enough dent that the waiter was impressed, but was unable to finish the task.

This time, he planned ahead. He ate a light lunch and skipped dinner, other than the appetizer we all shared at the restaurant. He was going to finish it no matter what. Mom and I were there with camera in hand to document his quest, while we happily munched on cheesecake as God intended at the Cheesecake Factory.

Unfortunately, the appetizer must have done him in. He was once again unable to finish the entire dessert. Next time there will be no breakfast, lunch, or appetizer and I am sure he will win the day. I'll keep you posted.

I'm disappointed in you, Ryan. No person of Therrien descent should have any trouble putting that kind of dessert away. I expected better from you.

Ryan,

Suck it up! Your dad can eat one of these .... no trouble, anytime.
