The first weekend in June is a very exciting time in Ohio. It is the weekend of the world famous Troy Strawberry Festival. We picked Nancy and Jim up from the airport and headed straight to Troy. We got to take a school bus there from a large parking lot across town. There were hundreds of craft vendors and tons of food! There was strawberry shortcake, strawberry cheesecake, strawberry salsa, deep fried strawberries, and strawberry BBQ chicken wings. We didn't find any crafts we couldn't live without; though Ryan did decide he is going to make us our very own Corn Hole set (aka bean bag toss, when not in Ohio) after seeing tons of very cool NFL and other such fun themed sets being sold for way too much money! We managed to leave town just as a monsoon rain hit town. There was a little too much excitement at the festival when a dad and 2 sons were struck by lightning, but apparently weren't hurt too badly.

When I read this post I thought of the country song "Strawberry Wine. Did you get to taste any? It looked like you had a delicious time.
